Wild Planet Foods

Wild Planet Foods is the first large-scale sustainably focused seafood company and they strive to transform fishing into a force to reinvigorate the oceans for future generations. To do this, they work with likeminded small-scale fishermen who follow 100% sustainable fishing practices for every product they source. Their products are minimally processed to deliver unparalleled taste and quality consumers can trust.

Project Overview

Over the course of the last two years, we have done a handful of evergreen lifestyle projects for Wild Planet Foods. The goal of these projects was to showcase the breadth of products, to exemplify the ease of incorporating Wild Planet into everyday life, and to make it clear that any one at any age can enjoy the food. We used clean and polished home locations with a beach/outdoor element to communicate the sustainable values and core missions of the brand.

This case study will show work from two different projects that have a cohesive feel.

Scope of Work

Services rendered included:

The total fee included:

- 1 Creative Director
- 1 Photographer
- 1 Producer
- 2 Videographers, who also were our lighting techs
- 3 Production assistants
- 1 stylist
- The Peerspace locations in Orange County, CA
- All Props
- 15 models across two projects
- 8 hours on set each day (two full days across two projects)
- Insurance
- Food for team and talent
- Prep and wrap time (about 2 full days worth of work between organizing props, travel time, returning items, etc.) outside of the shoot day

Deliverables:

Across two projects, for 9 SKUs, we delivered 1,472 Still Images for use across all verticals and 380 B-Roll Video Clips for use across all verticals. The main deliverables goal for video was YouTube ads.

The customer outcome

The Wild Planet team shared with us that they have utilized a lot of the creative across their ads, though they don't have a specific ROAS to attribute to. However, they said that they follow other metrics, specific to awareness, and that those metrics (representing our content) were impressive.

Overall, the Wild Planet team said that the Marika Creative assets have been used across many channels and has been incredibly helpful for their business.  

The Director of Marketing told us that we at Marika Creative are easy to work with, have a strong understanding of how they would use their assets, and that we have the ability to produce, stellar, strong assets.
